Each semester, students need to submit faculty notification requests through the DSS Online Portal to make their faculty aware of the approved accommodations that they will need to use in their classes. Faculty are unable to provide accommodations without this notification. It is recommended that students do this during the first week of the semester so that they may plan with their faculty. If students are approved for accommodations mid-semester, it may take up to 48 hours for the DSS online portal to sync with PROWL and download students' class information.
Below are instructions and visual guides for students explaining how to request an initial faculty notification for the semester as well as how to make changes to an already submitted request.

- Log into the DSS Online Portal with your LMU credentials.
- This will take you to your dashboard, under “Action Required” click on the “Continue to Sign Electronically” button to sign your agreements for the semester.
- Read through your student agreements, sign off on them, and click the “Submit Form” button.
- Go to the "Accommodation Requests" box on your dashboard. Click on the “Add Request for Class” link.
- Click the check box next to the classes in which you would like accommodation, then click on the "Continue to Next Step" button.
- Click the check box next to the accommodations that you would like to use for each class.
- Click the check box next to “Select All” if you would like to apply all the listed accommodations to that class.
- Under the “Step: Final Step” box, check off the acknowledgement statement and click on the “Submit Request” button.
- Email your professors to see if a meeting may be arranged to discuss how your accommodations will be applied to their class.
Students also can modify their accommodation requests. At any point during the semester, students may choose to change or cancel their accommodation requests. After they submit their desired changes, the DSS Office will email the faculty with an updated notification.

- This will take you to your dashboard, under “Accommodation Requests” click on the “View All Requests” link.
- Go to the class in which you want to make the change and click on the “Modify Request” link.
- Check the box next to the accommodations that you would like to add (or uncheck the box next to accommodations no longer needed for the class).
- Click the “Update Request” button.
